Coach Mathias will be joining the squad from 2016.

I’m so pleased to announce that Mathias Hecht will be joining Trisutto.com as a full-time coach for the 2016 season and beyond.

Mathias is one of Switzerland’s most decorated triathletes, having represented his country at all distances of triathlon over 16 years of professional racing. A former ITU athlete, Mathias most outstanding successes came at the Ironman distance, where he became an Ironman winner and Top 10 finisher at the Hawaii World Championships.

I’ve long had Mathias in mind as a high-performance coach in waiting. One of the brightest athletes I’ve ever coached, I was always impressed with how he managed both his business career and coaching development while still training. As a former athlete within the squad, Mathias has an in depth understanding of the Trisutto.com coaching methodology and will bring a wealth of knowledge on how we provide the best coaching service to our age group athletes.

It’s my belief that Mathias exploits as a coach will one day outstrip those he has made as an athlete. Trisutto.com will be offering our total support to help him to do so.

Mathias is a great acquisition for our coaching ranks.

As well as his development as an elite coach, Mathias will hold training camps yearly for Swiss age group athletes all over the world. He will be on deck with the Trisutto.com squad at the Canar‎y Islands, Mallorca, and also be looking to develop camps in Australia (Noosa Heads), his second home for the last decade in partnership with our Head Australian Coach, Robbie Haywood.

With our presence in Switzerland increasing so much over the past 12 months, and with our current Swiss coach, former Ironman and World Champion, Lisbeth Kristensen, there is no doubt we have the strongest Swiss triathlon coaching team possible. We also look forward to Mathias’ contribution in providing the very best knowledge in the sport in German.
