This Workout Package contains a a mix of Speed, Strength, Endurance and Gradient Workouts all suitable for running on the treadmill. Also included is an extra Triathlon Brick Workout to be used in conjunction with a Bike turbo trainer.
The workouts range in time from 30 mins to a maximum 2 hours 30 mins. These sets are suitable for both professional and age group athletes alike.
The treadmill is a sensational tool when used correctly. Most of us are aware that it allows training in a warm and dry environment when the weather outside is unpleasant. It also provides a safe training environment free of curbs or cracks in pavements to trip over, as well as a safe location to run rather than running alone, at night or in remote locations.
It’s great benefit when used correctly is to develop leg speed, rhythm and tempo in your running.
Please be aware that if you do not usually run on a treadmill, it is important to build up frequency and intensity of treadmill running over two or three weeks. There is a higher risk of injury when fast or demanding runs are completed and we have not allowed our bodies to adapt to the slightly different running environment that a treadmill offers.
