3-day Winter Training Camp – November 27th- November 29th, 2015.

Join Brett Sutton and Canada Coach Michelle Barnes for individual advice on your swim, bike and run. A unique opportunity to learn and improve from the current coach of the Olympic and Ironman World Champions.


Arrive Friday November 27

1:45pm Orientation and Introduction

2:00- 3:00 pm West End track for bike/wind-trainer session

4:00-6:00 pm Brett Sutton lecture ‘Training Philosophies’ with Q&A

Saturday November 28

9:00-10:30am Pool session

11:00am-1:00pm – Brett Sutton Coaching Seminar (Swim)

2:00- 3:00pm run session on track

Sunday November 29

9:00- 10:30am swim session

11:00am-1:00pm – Brett Sutton Coaching Seminar (Bike / Run)

4:00- 6:00pm West End track for bike/wind-trainer session.

Aspects that are covered during the training:

Training philosophy –  learn principles of periodisation, the training mix, psychology + physiology, athlete development and the use of races within these considerations.

Swim training – techniques for the individual athlete, use of swim tools, stroke correction.

Bike training – positioning, technique for the individual athlete, bicycle and component selection, skills, tools.

Run training – technique for the individual athlete, shoe choice, use of run tools (hills, track, treadmill, road).

Triathlon – integration of swim, bike and run into the one training approach.

Stretching – massage, warm up and warm downs.

Injuries – prevention, treatment, athlete mentality and training around or through them.

Race execution – strategy for the individual athlete and season goals.
