Trisutto Triathlon Training Camp 11th – 16th June 2018 with Coach Robert Taylor

Fine tune your training for all fall long course triathlons in the US. Athletes will be able to learn and incorporate Trisutto training methods into their Fall Ironman and 70.3 race training. This is a great way to kick off training for IM Louisville, IM Chattanooga, IM Florida, IM Maryland, 70.3 Augusta, 70.3 North Carolina, and numerous other Fall events. Athletes can ride to the pool, but the distance will vary depending on accommodations. We will have plenty of transportation available for athletes who need transportation from their accommodations if they choose not to ride.
The entry fee to the aquatics facility is not included in the camp fee. Cost is $6.00/day.

Training Agenda:
Focusing on the fundamental principles of the Trisutto method that can make an immediate improvement in performance.
Emphasizing the importance of incorporating the proper training methods with fundamental principles in order to maximize effectiveness

  • Training philosophy –  learn Trisutto.com principles of periodization, the training mix, psychology + physiology, athlete development and the use of races within these considerations.
  • Swim training – techniques for the individual athlete, use of swim tools, stroke correction.
  • Bike training – positioning, technique for the individual athlete, bicycle and component selection, skills, tools.
  • Run training – technique for the individual athlete, shoe choice, use of run tools (hills, track, treadmill, road).
  • Triathlon – integration of swim, bike and run into the one training approach.
  • Stretching – massage, warm up and warm downs.
  • Injuries – prevention, treatment, athlete mentality and training around or through them.
  • Race execution – strategy for the individual athlete and season goals.

Please bring:

  • Clothing suited for outdoor running and riding in warm weather. Temps should be warm, but can occasionally be cooler in the mountains
  • Pull buoy, paddles and all your swimming tools
  • Bike/Cycling gear –  additionally athletes driving to the camp are requested to bring their personal turbo trainers for indoor session(s). We will have a few available for those who will not be able to drive.
