Melanie Benson was 2nd overall female at the 2XU Olympic distance, Bahrain.

Well done to my athletes racing this weekend. Their willingness to prepare once again rewarded, making me proud of their achievements.  ‘The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses – behind the lines, in the gym and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights’ – Muhammad Ali.

Melanie – 2nd Overall female at the 2XU Olympic distance race, Bahrain.

I smashed my Olympic PR by 4 minutes, had the fastest bike of my life by 3 minutes and ran a really respectable 10km.  You have put me in the best shape of my life!

Frank – 2nd in his category at the 2XU Olympic dist race, Bahrain.

As always, thanks for getting us this far! But from what I saw out there today, I still have loads of room for improvement….keep on keeping on….

Chiin – New York marathon

I used every trick in the book to keep going, and ultimately pick up the pace again in the last mile when I was convinced I had nothing left.

But this is where I have to thank you. Those tricks or tools came from being coached by you. “Stay in the moment”, “You are a keeper, if you get tired back off for a while and pick it up again later”, “What would the champs do?”…

Having the tools to overcome the deepest, darkest moments in an endurance event makes me a better athlete. And I do believe after one year of being coached by you I am a better athlete. There is no other way I could have managed what I did today, but I believed in you and the training we do.

So this medal is thanks to you. Thank you. 🙂

Trick or Tri Weekend:

Trick or Tri_2

A short fast hit out for Kim Kilgroe this weekend, winning the sprint race at the inaugural Trick or Tri Triathlon in California.

Kim has been training hard over Summer with the squad in both St.Moritz and Jeju, and now back in LA, this race served as a good opportunity to measure her improvements. She will race a series of short tri’s over the next month as part of her development program.

Another of our elite professionals, Lukas Verzbicas, raced and won the Trick or Tri event. However we believe the 28:07 10km run split turned out to be a bit of a trick and a treat.

Congratulations to all our athletes competing this weekend. online professional coaches are available to help improve your performance here.
