It makes me very happy to announce that coach, Mat O’Hallaron will be officially joining us in 2016 as a coach. Mat has a longstanding connection with that goes back nearly 10 years. First joining TeamTBB as a development athlete with a strong background in swimming, he developed into a fully fledged professional and Ironman 70.3 podium finisher.

However, since retiring from the professional circuit one could argue Mat’s performances as a coach have since eclipsed his own racing career, where he has now forged a reputation as one Asia’s best triathlon coaches – coaching 9 National Champions and qualifying multiple athletes each year to the Asian Games, Asian Beach Games, South East Asian Games.

In 2014 Mat won the AsiaTri Coach of the year award.

Mat is one of those coaches who has made the transition from athlete-to-coach by paying his dues. Developing programs for juniors, age group athletes, development pros and lastly professionals. He has been Head Coach of the Alaska Tri Aspire Team and has done excellent work there. It is now time to introduce his great work ethic to a more global audience after such success in Asia.

A native Canadian who speaks fluent French and English, Mat has the skills to be an outstanding coach on the international level. Trisutto will provide him with every support to see him reach his goal of one being one of the best coaches in the world.
